What kind of learner are you? How does your learning style translate into your teaching style? How do you teach to a room full of different learners and help them engage in their practice? Learn how to adapt tools used in traditional classrooms and teach to every mat in your class.
In this workshop you will:
- Identify your own learning style
- Examine your teaching style
- Explore how to engage all learners
- Review Doshas 101
- Study the Kosha and learn how include various layers in your class
- Learn how to design classes through asana, pranayama, and meditation that can reach every student at every mat
- Investigate the subtle body anatomy
Through lecture, discussion, and physical practice students will work individually and in small groups to develop the seat of the teacher.
This workshop includes 20 contact hours and 5 non-contact hours for 25 CEUs.

Karen opened Be Here Now Yoga in 2014 to share her love of yoga with others. Karen is an RTY 500, E-RYT 200 and is certified in Prime of Life Yoga, Yoga for Cancer Care, Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga, Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga. She is currently studying to become a certified yoga therapist with Brandt Passalacqua. Karen has over 30 years teaching experience in the supplemental school classroom and brings a plethora of tools, techniques, and strategies from her experiences in the classroom to the mat.
