Summer Kid’s Yoga

Kids doing yogaBe Here Now Yoga will be offering a variety of programs to bring health, wellness, and yoga fun to kids in the community. A three week series for six to nine year olds begin April 25 and includes yoga for kids six to nine year olds on Fridays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with Amy McKenna.

The tween girl series with Abby Walsh continues on various Sundays through April, May and June.

Summer series includes Asana (poses) and activity each week. Topics include quieting the mind, being mindful, respecting others and opening the heart to kindness, finding balance, taking flight, getting grounded, and overcoming obstacles. Kids yoga teachers Abby Walsh, Amy McKenna, Barbara Clarin, Cindy Hayes and Jessica DiLorenzo.

Four weeks of kids’ yoga (June 23, 30, July 14, July 30) runs Monday through Thursday. Two sessions will be offered daily with third to fifth graders at 8 a.m. and kindergarten through second at 10:15 a.m.

Sessions start at $85 week, with discounts for multiple weeks. Three weeks offered for sixth through eighth graders (July 21, 28 and August 4) and will also run Monday through Thursday in from to 1 to 3 p.m. with Abby Walsh. Yoga for four to six year olds will be offered for four Friday mornings through the summer (July 18, 24, Aug. 1, 8) at 9:30 a.m.

Journey through classic children’s stories complete with yoga, songs and activities. Class is taught by Barbara Clarin.
