JANUARY 20, 2020

Pranayama is an often-overlooked aid in the 8-Limb Yoga System, but it’s a powerful standalone practice, as well as an important link between asana and meditation. Join yoga teacher, therapist, and studio owner Joe Simek for deeper look at the techniques and practices of Pranayama. Designed for yoga teachers, this workshop will explore practical rationales and applications of pranayama techniques and give workshop participants time to teach one another. This workshop is open to those with a 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training certificate

Contact Hours
Participants will learn the history of Pranayama and the modern placement of practices within the systems of yoga, review and discuss the energy systems of the subtle body, gain a deeper understanding of breathing techniques, refine their personal practice of pranayama and develop tools and techniques for teaching pranayama to students in yoga classes.
